Saltus was hired for services related to foundation work for a commercial project located at 321-325 West 35th Street, between 8th and 9th Ave in the Hell’s Kitchen section of Midtown Manhattan, south of Times Square. Their services were conducted over a 16-month period. Services included crack gauge/telltale monitoring, installation of seismographs, and real-time vibration monitoring for the duration of the project.
Crack gauge monitoring is recommended when cracks are identified in nearby structures during pre-construction existing conditions documentation. These sensors monitor and record the cracks’ progress to identify any further developments.
In addition, we offer our clients 2 options when it comes to vibration monitoring: wireless and manned. Both devices help technicians monitor any spikes in vibrations in the construction zone.
With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Saltus can provide clients with expert and cost-effective solutions for their construction project needs. Contact us today to learn more.
